Note: GoReport supports Siri dictation and transcription, and can be used without a Wi-Fi or internet connection.

  • Open a section within the report.
  • Select the microphone icon to dictate and transcribe in real time.

  • To end the recording simply select the keyboard icon (as shown below):

GoReport Dictation

GoReport Dictation can be used without a Wi-Fi or internet connection, and each audio file will be saved within the relevant section of the report. The audio files can be transcribed in the Web Portal after the report has been uploaded.

Tip: GoReport dictation is available in sections of the report where the microphone icon is displayed.


Tip: The GoReport app requires permission to use your microphone. If a pop up message appears (see below), this means the app does not currently have access to the microphone on your iOS device.

  • Select Open Settings.

  • Select the toggle button to give the GoReport app permission to access your microphone.

  • Return to the GoReport app and select the microphone icon again to begin recording.

  • The microphone icon will change colour while recording is taking place.

  • To stop recording, simply select the microphone icon.

Note: A new sound icon will appear at the bottom of your screen and display the number of audio files within this section (see below)

 
  • Select the icon to show the complete list of audio files.

  • To listen to an audio file, simply tap anywhere on the recording.
  • To delete a recording, simply 'swipe left' on the audio file.
  • Select the Delete button.

Note: Once a recording has been deleted, it CANNOT be retrieved.

Uploading a Report Including Transcription 

Once you have completed your report on the iOS device, the next step is to upload it onto the web portal.

Tip: For this step a strong internet connection is required. 

  • On the iPad return to the ‘Report Details’ screen, select the drop down icon, and select ‘Upload Report’ as shown below:

  • When the green circle is full, this indicates the upload process is complete.

Tip: You can continue to use the app while the report is in the process of uploading to the cloud.

  • The report will be available in the GoReport Web Portal once it is uploaded to the cloud.

Automatic Transcription and Editing

  • Open the report that you have uploaded from your iOS device.

  • In the ‘Report Details’ section of your report select ‘Auto Transcribe’ to submit your audio files. 

  • Select OK.

Note: The report has now been sent for transcription. You will NOT be able to make any changes to this report until transcription is complete.

  • Select OK.

  • The ‘Review Transcription’ button will appear as a faded grey colour.

  • The ‘Review Transcription’ button will become available when the transcription is ready for review.

Note: The size of the audio file will determine how long it takes for the transcription process to complete. If the 'Review Transcription' button is unavailable after a long period of time, try refreshing the page.

  • Select ‘Review Transcription’ to review your content.

Tip: Each transcription includes an audio player that allows you to listen to the original recording. This can be used to correct any errors that appear in the transcription.

  • The counter to the right of the transcription box that indicates how many transcriptions are left to review.

  • Once you have reviewed and edited the transcribed text, select ‘Approve’.

  • When all transcriptions have been reviewed and approved, the following message will appear.
  • Select OK.

  •  The transcribed text will be imported back into the correct section of your report. 

Downloading Audio Data (GoReport Dictation only)

  • Select Download Audio. 

  • You have the option to download the file as an MP3 or WAV file.

  • The audio files will appear within the Downloads folder on your web browser, and in the Downloads folder on your computer.
  • Select the folder to open the file location (as shown below).

  • The audio folder is downloaded as a ZIP file. To extract the files, simply right click on the folder and select 'Extract All'.

  • Your computer will automatically select a destination folder, however you can change this by selecting Browse.

  • Once you have chosen a folder to extract your files to, select Extract.

  • The audio files are now saved in the selected folder.
