Importing tabular data to a report
Note: Photos cannot be imported into a table and must be uploaded directly to the table.
- Select the report you would like to add the data to.
- Select the More button.
- Select Bulk Add Rows as shown below.
- Select Download Excel Template.
- The excel file will appear in the downloads folder on your computer or in your browser.
- Click on the file to open it.
- The downloaded template will be blank except for the column headings for the table.
Caution: These column headings must remain unchanged. Modifying them will prevent the file from uploading.
- You can include some or all of the data. Simply add the rows you want to display in the table to the Excel file, and save the file to your computer.
Note: When adding the rows of data it’s important to not apply or change any formatting in the excel as this will lead to the file not being imported.
- Return to the web portal to upload your file.
- Drag and drop the file to this area or click Browse to add the file from your computer.
- Once the file has uploaded successfully a green banner will appear.
Note: If the upload fails, it may be due to formatting or data type issues. Please double-check your data, and if the file still doesn't upload, send a screenshot of the data to helpdesk@goreport.com for assistance.
- Click Create Rows.
Note: This data is additive meaning it doesn’t replace or remove any existing data.
- The process of bulk adding rows will run in the background, allowing you to continue working.
- You can check the progress of the upload by clicking on the recent activity icon (as shown below).
- When it has completed, click Edit button to open the report and view the rows that have been added.
- The data has been added to the table.
Copying tabular data from one report to another
- Select the report you would like to export the data from
- Select Publish.
- In the publish screen you can export the data of the report. Choose Single Report (as shown below) and select Export.
- The export will run in the background, allowing you to continue using the web portal. You can check the status of the export but selecting the Recent Activity icon shown below.
- When the export is complete click on the download icon.
- The excel file will appear in the downloads folder on your computer or in your browser.
- Click on the file to open it.
- The excel shows all the data contained in the report, including the tabular data.
- Click on the table tab to view the tabular data (in the example below, the table tab is called Schedule of Condition).
- From here you can copy the data that you would like to import into the new report.
- Return to the web portal.
- To import the data you will need to download a the excel template for that report.
- Select the report you would like to import the file to.
- Select the More button.
- Select Bulk Add Rows as shown below.
- Select Download Excel Template.
- The excel file will appear in the downloads folder on your computer or in your browser.
- Click on the file to open it.
- The template will be blank except for the column headings.

- Paste the data that was copied from the previous excel file.
- Save the excel file and return to the web portal to upload your file.
- Drag and drop the file to this area or click Browse to add the file from your computer.
