Web Portal 2.0: Projects and Clients to Organize Your Reports
Learn how to create and manage Projects and Clients in GoReport to organize, filter, and manage survey reports more efficiently.
Overview
GoReport’s Projects and Clients features help you group related reports, quickly filter them, keep client work organized, and save time - making your workflow more efficient, especially when handling multiple surveys or repeat clients.
Clients and Projects are two seperate features that need to be added to your account - please contact helpdesk@goreport.com to request access to one or both of these features.
When requesting access to either or both of these features please specify which users in the account should be able to view clients and projects, and which users should have permission to manage, edit, or delete projects and clients.

View all reports assigned to a client
If you can view Projects but cannot add, edit or delete projects you may not have the correct permissions to do so. In this case, please ask your company representative to contact helpdesk@goreport.com to request for your permissions to be updated.
Before you begin we recommend displayed the Project and Client columns in your main reports list so that you can easily see which reports are assigned to a project, client or both.
You can do this by clicking columns, ticking the checkboxes for Client Name and Project Name, and moving the columns close to the report names.

Create a project
Projects allow you to group multiple reports under one job, site, or contract.
1. Click Projects.

2. Click Create Project to open the sidebar.

3. Add Project Name and Description.

4. Click Create.

Your Project has been added to the list of projects and is ready to use.
Assign reports to a project
You can assign one or multiple reports at once.
1. Go to the reports list and select the report / reports you would like to assign to a project.
2. Click Edit Details.

3. Choose a Project from the drop down list.

4. Click Update.

The selected reports are now assigned to that project.
When you open a project, you’ll see a simple visual summary of its progress.

Draft reports are shown as Ready

Uploaded reports are shown as In Progress

Completed reports are shown as Completed

Archived reports are shown as Archived

Edit project, view project reports, delete or archive a project
1. Click on a project.
2. From here you can edit the project details, view all reports within the project, delete the project or archive the project.
Projects cannot be deleted if there are reports assigned to the project. Remove all assigned reports before deleting the project.

View all reports in a project
1. Click the Reports button from within a project.

2. You will be returned to the reports list, where a filter will be applied to show only the reports for the selected project.

3. If you click Create Report while in a Project View the new report will default to be created within that project.

To return to the full reports list simply remove the filter.

Create a client
Clients allow you to group reports by company or organization.
1. Click Clients.

2. Click Create Client.

3. Add Client Name and Description.

4. Click Create.

Your client has now been added to the client list.
Assign reports to a client
You can assign one or multiple reports at once.
1. Go to the reports list and select the report / reports you would like to assign to a Client.

3. Click Edit Details.
4. Choose a Client from the drop down list.
5. Click Update.

The selected reports are now assigned to that client.
When you open a client, you’ll see a simple visual summary of all reports associated with that client.

Edit client, view reports, delete or archive a client
1. Click on a Client.
2. From here you can edit the Client details, view all reports assigned to a client, delete or archive the client.

1. Click the Reports button from within a client.

2. You will be taken back to the reports list and a filter has been applied to show only the reports assigned to that client.

3. If you click Create Report while in a Client View the new report will default to be created assigned to that client.

To return to the full reports list simply remove the filter.

Why use projects and clients?
Without Projects and Clients, reports are listed individually. As your workload grows, this becomes harder to manage.

FAQs
I can't see clients or projects on the left navigation bar, how do I get access to both ?
These need to added onto your account by GoReport, please contact helpdesk@goreport.com and ask to have clients / project switched on.
Can I have clients and projects switched on only for specific users?
Yes. You can also control permission levels - choosing who can only view the Clients and Projects lists, and who can add, edit, or delete them.
Can I assign multiple reports at once?
Yes. Use the row checkbox in the Reports to bulk select reports before assigning.
Can a report have both a Project and a Client?
Yes. A report can be linked to both a Project and a Client for better organization, or it can be associated with just one—depending on your needs.
Can I edit a project or client later?
Absolutely. Use the Edit Details option at any time to edit a project or client.
Will editing a project affect existing reports?
Only the project information changes. The report data remains unchanged.
Will clients / projects show on published reports?
No, this information will only be displayed internally.
