Management Portal Interface

The GoReport Management Portal is the web interface through which you can manage the design, content and pre-defined settings of your iOS data capture and published report outputs. 

The portal is usually management by an individual or small number of people who have been granted administrator rights to control content. 

The following article provides and overview of the first screen you see when you login to the Management Portal.

Data Captures

When you login to the Management Portal you will automatically enter the Data Capture section of the portal.

The Data Captures field includes a complete list of templates created by GoReport and templates you or your team created using GoReport Creator. 

Search Bar

Narrow your search by entering part of the word or enter the complete name of the report you are looking to display. For example, if you are looking for Schedule of Condition templates, start entering the word to reduce the number of surveys from your current view.

Return to the complete list of reports by using the backspace to delete your entry or select Clear.

Status

Note: Each time you login to the web portal, all visible data captures will default to “All Active”.

To filter by the status of each template choose either Draft, Test, Live or Archived from the dropdown menu.

All Active

Select All Active to view a complete list of templates, with a status of Draft, Test or Live.

Draft

Any new data capture will begin as a Draft until you update its status in Capture Settings.

This data capture is only available in GoReport Creator and cannot be seen or used by any user on iOS application or the web portal.

Test

Indicates the data capture has been designed and is now being reviewed before it moves to live status. 

This data capture is only available to users that have been added to a team, see Capture Settings - Access Article for a full explanation.

Live

Select Live to view templates accessible on iOS and the GoReport Web Portal.

This data capture is available to any user and cannot be configured or put back into Test or Draft.

Archived

Select Archived to view all data captures that have been disabled from iOS and the GoReport Web Portal.

Data capture is unavailable to all users on iOS application and the web portal and cannot be put back into Test or Draft.

Note: You can only delete a data capture when it is in 'Draft' status. If a data capture is no longer valid and it is in 'Test' or 'Live' mode, change the status to 'Archived' to remove it from the active list.

GoReport Defined: This data capture and output has been created by GoReport.

This data capture has been designed for PDF publishing and cannot be edited but it can be cloned.

Note: When a data capture is live it cannot be edited. To make changes you must clone the template.

User Defined

User Defined: This Data capture and output has been created using GoReport Creator.

Blue Status: This data capture is in test phase.

Colours Explained

Colour Description
Blue This data capture is Live.
Grey This data capture is in Draft.
Red This data capture is Archived and unavailable on iOS and the web portal.

Quick Select Options

Select the icon to reveal several options that allow you to edit data capture, edit responses, rename or clone this data capture.

Edit Data Capture

To edit a data capture, select the title or choose Edit Data Capture from the quick select dropdown.

Edit Responses (Response Management tool)

GoReport's Response Management tool enables you to define and personalise standard phrases or responses in your data collection and save large amounts of time when populating repeated text or frequently used phrases. Standard phrases are commonly used in RICS Home Survey Standards but with the GoReport Response Management tool, any commercial or residential survey template can benefit from the use of commonly used phrases or responses.

Rename Data Capture

Easily change the name of your data capture at any time using the quick select tool. This will change the name as it appears in the Web Portal and iOS app.

Clone Data Capture

Cloning a template allows you to copy the entire data capture. For example, you may wish to update an existing template started by you or your colleague before revisiting a property, or perhaps your next inspection contains areas that are similar or the same as a previous template. 

Note: When a data capture has been marked as live in the Management Portal it cannot be edited. To make changes to the existing template you can easily make a copy from the selected data capture using the clone functionality.

Tip: It’s important to choose a recognisable name or reference so you can quickly identify the template.
